This is why you need them"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Makeisha Lee, Health and Nutritional Advisor\/OURNEWS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap wp-block-paragraph\">   The institution of superfoods is a technological advance that allows those of us wanting to make healthier eating choices the ability to do so without sacrificing good nutrition. In fact, consuming superfoods actually enhances our levels of nutritional intake. Let\u2019s discuss exactly what they are, and why we need them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Superfoods are a concentrated source of vitamin, minerals, enzymes, antioxidants, fiber and essential amino acids, usually in powdered or liquid form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">   This food technology is needed due to conditions with regards to the food supply in America. The food we eat is grown on soil that is severely depleted of vital minerals and nutrients necessary to sustain good health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">   Superfoods, give us all the opportunity to regain the health that our grandparents and their parents once experienced. This is achieved easily through eating superfoods, since they have live enzymes that are crucial and very necessary for every function within the cells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">   We are in a time where we have become too dependent on cooked foods and should understand that when food is cooked over 100 degrees fahrenheit, destruction of phytonutrients, loss of proteins and loss of digestive enzymes all occur. If you use the microwave you basically destroy all nutrients within seconds. What is left are foods that are void of anything substantial for our bodies to assimilate nutritionally. They don\u2019t call is nuking for nothing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">   On the other hand, refrigeration of superfoods provides us the ability to transport great fruits, vegetables, exotic foods and more without losing any of the natural enzymes, minerals or any other compounds. Here are five useful ones commonly found in various formulations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Brown Rice Bran: contains vitamins, minerals, insoluble fiber which cleanses intestines and lowers blood cholesterol.<\/li><li>Beet Juice Powder: antioxidants that reduce accumulation of plaque in arteries, cancer resisting properties and helps blood circulation.<\/li><li>Cilantro: aids in the secretion gastric juices and contain essential oils that have antibacterial properties that can be used as a fungicide<\/li><li>Chlorella Algae: is freshwater algae that has been around for 2.5 billion years that has the ability to transport vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, hormones and more throughout the body.<\/li><li>Probiotic Cultures: they are friendly bacteria that help digestion and work simultaneously with the immune system to keep us healthy.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">   Countless studies reveal that certain foods are nutritional powerhouses that can actually extend your health span. These formulations are power packed and ready to go to save us all time due to such busy lives we lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">   Moreover, it is virtually impossible for people to eat the right mix of fruits, vegetables and other foods on their own every single day. Our children too are starving for the correct balance of nutrition in appropriate servings of fruits and veggies. We owe it to them to give them a fighting chance to build their bodies up with these superfoods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">   That is why implementing superfoods in the entire family\u2019s diet is not only necessary for optimal health, but very practical. Too many of us are stressed out, and a large portion of us are obese because of the rat race to where we are just eating quick fix foods on the go that hold little to no value. Trust that superfoods are invaluable in the role they pay in fighting chronic diseases such as cancer, diabetes, depression and many more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">   One final thought is that an ideal formulation should always offer, first and foremost, powerful cleansing properties that will rid your body of impurities that have accumulated through the years.
