ABOUT THE OURS

OURNEWS began in 2005 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi as the Pine Belt’s first faith-based publication. Over the span of a decade, the publication received many accolades and awards, including the publisher being named as the 2010 Business Woman of the Year. Another successful endeavor was the OURNEWS Life Empowerment and Business Expo. Declining print sales combined with natural disasters resulted in the publication being temporarily paused for preparation for launching online. Simultaneously, high interest and a diverse readership led to the publication having several segments to help meet readers’ needs.
